Visiting Scholars
Kyungduk KimKim arrived at the University of Georgia from Busan City in the Republic of Korea in July 2006 and will be visiting through December 2007. Kim was awarded the Busan City Government’s Overseas Training Program fund to attend the University of Georgia. As a visiting scholar, Kim is interested in research on industry and the prospect of Busan City hosting the Olympic games in the near future—a goal for which the city government has invested in a convention center. Kim earned a bachelor’s degree in public administration from Busan National University in Busan, Korea, and a master’s degree in development policy and public administration from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Jinhak JeongJeong arrived at the University of Georgia from South Korea in July 2006 and will be visiting for approximately 18 months. As a visiting scholar, Jeong is researching administrative legal systems, policy-making systems, and other basic administrative theories of countries such as the United States. Jeong is participating in two courses, Special Topics in Urban Administration and Public Financial Administration, while visiting the univerisity. Jeong earned a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree (dissertation pending) in law from Dong-a University in Saha-gu Busan, South Korea. |
